After nearly ten years in the roof cleaning industry we are familiar with the cyclical process of algae removal and regrowth. We prefer to be proactive rather than reactive, and knew there had to be a smarter approach to a clean roof. That is why we have developed a roof treatment that prevents the roof from ever getting dirty in the first place.
Our Semi-Annual Preventative Treatment is an application of a non-chlorine natural mineral algae-stat which inhibits the growth of a specific type of algae called Gloeocapsa Magma on roof tiles and shingles. It is applied every 6 months* to maintain an environment in which algae cannot grow, keeping roof surfaces clean and free of dark discoloration caused by algae, without the use of high pressure or harsh chemicals.
Using a naturally forming mineral algaecide and algae-stat (preventer), the treatments create and maintain an environment on the roof surface that does not support algae growth. As long as the roof is receiving the treatments it will remain algae-free. The application process and minerals used are completely safe for roof components, surrounding landscaping, as well as children, pets, and aquatic life.
Perpetually clean
As long as the roof is receiving our semi-annual treatment it will remain algae free, eliminating the cause for roof cleaning notices to homeowners. That’s one less headache for both homeowners and property managers.
Costs less than cleaning the roof
Our semi-annual treatments costs less than having your roof cleaned every couple of years. It’s a cost effective solution that gives you more for your money. Homeowners and Home Owners Associations find this lower expense easier to budget for.
Safe for landscaping
The preventative treatment utilizes the natural algae-stat properties of specific minerals instead of using harsh chemicals, targeting only the algae on the roof to prevent its colonization and propagation.
Safer and more effective than pressure cleaning
Pressure cleaning uses high pressures than can be damaging to roof surfaces and components. In many cases it can even void your roof warranty, and damages caused by pressure cleaning will often not be covered by homeowner’s insurance policies. Moreover, it is only a temporary solution that does not actually kill the algae.
Safer for us
As algae accumulates on a roof it becomes increasingly hazardous for a roof cleaner, as the algae is extremely slippery when wet. It greatly benefits our safety to keep the algae growth from occurring in the first place.
No Contracts
We’ll give you a call every 6 months to schedule your treatment. If you are happy with the service and results, we hope you will continue to give us the opportunity to keep your roof looking beautiful. There are no contracts, we feel customer retention should be earned, not forced.
